Burtonwood.
When I was very small, in the 50's, we lived in a reservoir house between Wigan and St Helens. The American aircraft approaching Burtonwood , would line up with the reservoir. I saw all manner of aircraft from Lightnings to multi-engined bombers, flying over our heads.
Now I live in Blackpool, under the flight path of The Red Arrows. mickey
