Aeroventure at Doncaster - tripped over this museum by accident whilst I was driving round looking for a firm on the nearby industrial estate but spent a happy couple of hours there.
I'd ring before you make a special visit as they are very reliant on volunteers to open the site up but well worth a visit.

As I was driving past the road end that leads to Carlisle Airport today, I responded to the invitation of the signs advertising the Aviation Museum.
The minor road was untreated and very icy, but there was no other traffic and I drove with extreme caution without incident.
On arrival the museum itself was closed, (for the winter), but the aircraft are visible from the approach road to the airport 'terminal' and I was able to photograph them without being accosted.
I will post some in the appropriate sections.

There is a very interesting military musem in Brussells, with a large and fascinating Aviation section. If you are lucky (enthusiasm for egineering helps here) you could get a look in the restoration workshops.
I don't have details of this place, but I could probably get them. Well worth a vist if you fancy a trip on the magic carpet - Eurostar. :)

Hi.
I put 10 years in At The Dumfries Aviation Museum. I refurbished cockpits, really enjoyed it, I only gave up because | was feeling my age at 82!!
